Learn more about Cécile
As a teenager, Cécile Franconie learned to crochet with the invaluable help of her grandmother. Wishing to master other techniques, she gradually tried her hand at other pursuits related to the art of thread. Developing a real talent as a seamstress, she made clothing for her four children, along with dolls and other fabric toys. In 1997 she discovered quilting and quickly progressed from making miniature quilts to more complex projects such as throws and bed quilts.
Embellishing quilts is now Cécile’s priority and passion. Enamored of traditional blocks and quilting, Cécile likes to revisit them and enliven them with flowers of all types. Her talent for creating stunning color palettes is that of a true colorist. Cécile’s command of the fiber arts is unparalleled and as rich and fragrant as a summer garden!
