Roxie had a vision and she made that vision a reality. In 1994 the shop opened in Walnut Creek, CA, With 5000 square feet of fabric, classrooms, and a gallery, the shop was an immediate success! We relocated to Concord in 2007 and the brick-and-mortar shop closed in 2014. We made 20 years! :)
We are still working hard online - creating our own unique quilt patterns; vending at quilt shows; sending out a weekly newsletter (sign up for The Gazette on our website - www.thimblecreek.com) and hosting several retreats every year. We are also happily busy with three amazing grandsons - Collin, Isaac, and Rhett! :)
Roxie loves houses and wanted to make a Cape Cod style Christmas house. She wanted it to be subtle and wintry. Her vision became All Through the House. We are thrilled to have her quilt on the cover of your Christmas issue this year.
The next show we will be participating in will be in Birmingham from August 10th-13th at the Festival of Quilts.
For this occasion, Quiltmania is organizing a little prize contest. The lucky winners will receive FREE ENTRY PASSES to this top European quilt show! All you have to do is answer our online questionnaire between June 22nd-30th, 2017.
6 winners will be drawn from the participants who answer the questions correctly.
