In tribute to Linda Koenig
Our Quiltmania family was deeply saddened to learn of Linda Keonig’s passing on October 13th. Linda was one of our most beloved authors. This past April, she was a special guest at our show Pour l ’Amour du Fil in Nantes. Here she presented and shared with our quilters her latest work Ratsburg Road Quilts, a very touching and personal book.
We will keep in our hearts Linda’s sparkling blue eyes filled with mischief, humor and joie de vivre. Linda loved life, her family, and friends with whom she generously shared her passion for quilting--especially her “North Stars,” who must feel orphaned. We are also thinking of Richard, her husband, with whom she shared a mutual love for bike rides and NSCAR races, her lovely children, and cherished grandchildren.
Thank you Linda for brightening our lives. You will be missed.

During our short visit to the Netherlands last autumn we met Ineke, as suggested by our friend Petra Prins.
Ineke is one of the quilting teachers who regularly presides at Petra’s shop and her talents are many, as much in the area of traditional quilting as with modern improvisation.
Ineke loves to play with colour and possesses a keen instinct for making bold and apt choices when it comes to her colour palettes.
