16th international juried competition for new, innovative quilts. Work must possess the most basic structural characteristics of a quilt, be an original design of the entrant, have been completed after September ‘06 and measure no more than 108” (270 cm) in either direction. Yesterday – Today – Tomorrow
International juried competition organised in conjunction with the 20th anniversary of PatCHquilt, the Swiss quilt guild. Both traditional and contemporary works are welcome, originals only. They must have at least 2 layers. Any material may be used, provided that it is flexible. Embellishments permitted. Max. 2 entries per participant. Both height and width must be between 80 and 120 cm. Deadline: November 11th, 2008.

Pearls, Pearls, Pearls
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Quilters’ Guild of the British Isles, all current members are invited to submit two images of one new piece of their work based on the above theme. Selected pieces will be displayed at the Quilt Museum and Gallery in York, UK, from April 29th – August 30th, 2009. No size restriction. Entry fee: £15. Entry deadline: March 1st, 2009.

Competition open to international contemporary textile artists who are members of France Patchwork, the French quilt guild. Your work can be made of fabric, embroidery, folded materials, woven plants, felt, fibres, plastic, flexible material, etc. It must not have been published anywhere yet and must have been made less than a year ago. Min perimeter: 2.60 m; max height: 2.20 m; max width: 1.60 m. 3-dimensional works are permitted. Max 2 entries per participant. Registration deadline: April 10th, 2009.
